9 year old Malin Karlsen race report: Swedish Nationals 2w Buggy

Qualifying at the Swedish 1/10 National 2WD Buggy Championship at the Green Hill track in Skarpn├Ąck is done. We did 4 qualifying heats where the 2 best is counting towards the A through H final heats later on (75 drivers). My best qualifying heats ended up being heat #1 with a 5th and heat #4 with a 7th (the others were a 9th and a 14th). This gave me 12 points and start #8 for the A-final Extremely happy with making the A-final as we started practice in the wet this morning and conditions have changed throughout the day until we had a completely dry track for the last qualifiers. So we have changed setup throughout the entire day making small adjustments along the way. And with this being a brand new track to me and the fact that we missed the dry practice yesterday I’m really happy with my result so far Now it’s finals time…..3 x A-finals My 3 A-finals in the 2WD class at the Swedish National Championship held at Green Hill, MHF Skarpn├Ąck went pretty well. I had qualified as #8 in the A-final from a starting field of 75 drivers in total. In A-final #1 I was a bit nervous and made a few mistakes early on before setting into my rythm. My XB4 felt okay but started to want to traction roll after the sun had come back out and started to heat up the track. Still managed to finish a decent 8th. For A-final #2 I quickly realised there was something wrong with my car going out for the warm up lap....

6-year old Reese Meyer wins the Lucas Oil R/C Short Course Invitational Enduro!

Congratulations to little 6-year old Reese Meyer for being the last man standing on both days of the The Lucas Oil R/C Short Course Invitational endure! Taking place at the 2011 Sand Sports Super Show, Reese was able to keep his Reedy batteries alive in his SC10 for over 30 minutes on both days! Reese was up against some pretty heavy competition but he stayed cool under the pressure. Team Associated ran demos and races throughout the days of the Sand Sports Super Show, and fun was had by all! The Lucas Oil /Team Associated display area was the place to be to meet some of your favorite R/C and full scale drivers. On hand was 2011 I.F.M.A.R World Champion Ryan Cavalieri signing autographs along with Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series driver Carl Renezender and many more pro racers making the...
